While we wait for auditoriums to open up for bigger shows, Boston Bollywood is excited to be invited to conduct a mini virtual show this summer at the Starlight Open air theater in Central Square, Cambridge! The show is being conducted in an outdoor location to ensure that COVID-19 safety guidelines are followed. This virtual show will be a collection of video projects that dancers can sign up for!
Choreographers must audition 45-60 second long pieces. Dancers will be allowed to participate in pieces by audition only. Please read the following carefully before sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.

For Semi-classical pieces, the audition is slightly different. Please read more information on the Dancer Audition page.

Individual rehearsals for pieces will start on June 14th

Boston Bollywood will pay for the studio rental.)
Show weekend: July 17th: 1-9 PM Venue: Starlight, Central Square Cambridge
Each piece will be allocated 15-20 minutes of shoot time
Each piece will be given about 4-5 takes (one of which must be a continuous take for the audience to watch and cheer!)
Audience members may watch the entire show or only show up for their individual shoots
To ensure COVID-19 safety guidelines, anyone who is not participating in the shoot will not be allowed to attend
Dancers not actively dancing must wear face coverings throughout the duration of the shoot/show -- NO EXCEPTIONS.
There will be a small changing room near the venue. Hence, there will be one base costume for all the dances. Choreographers may decide to add layers (jackets, gloves, extra bottom layering like skirts, pants, shorts, shoes, etc.) on top of the base costume to make it more appealing for their songs

Male identified dancers are expected to own black pants/bottoms and a plain black tank top / t-shirt
Choreographers will share with the dancers what extra costume layers dancers will be required to source from their closets or purchase (not exceeding $25/piece)
The videos will be released on a weekly basis on Boston Bollywood's Instagram, Facebook and YouTube channels starting the week of July 26th.
Boston Bollywood will share the exact video release schedule in the week leading up to the show/shoot weekend
Each video project's team members will get the following deliverables from Boston Bollywood
Boston Bollywood will share an exact release schedule for the above deliverable for each team
