Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
CLASS STRUCTURE
Q: What should I expect in these classes?
A: You will learn 30-40 seconds of original choreography to a new song from the various South Asian film industries. Keeping the limitations of online classes in mind, we hope to offer multiple dance styles that capture the range of talent of our Boston Bollywood choreographers. We hope you will find that performing the choreography with full energy, extensions, and expressions will really make your heart RACE (in a good way)! Some experience with dance may be required to follow along - especially given that all instruction is online - but we promise you will have a BLAST!

The Benefits of Dancing
Q: What will I need during a class?
A: Please have the following ready 15 minutes before class start time:
1. A laptop/phone placed in a position where you can watch the live-streamed video
2, Some space to dance. We recommend a minimum of 5ft x 5ft area.
3. A water bottle
4. Shoes (optional)
Q: What should I wear?
A: We recommend wearing workout clothes. Avoid denim as it restricts movement.
Q: How should I join this class?
A: 15-30 minutes before class start time, ticket buyers will receive an email with the following video links:
1. A “What to expect” video. If this is your first time taking an online choreography class with us, we highly recommend watching this video.
2. A warm-up routine video that you can use to warm-up your body before the class begins. The warm-up routine will be approximately 6-10 minutes, and we will try our best to include exercises that either mimic or provide a solid foundation for the choreography you will be learning. For example, if there are several hip movements, we will warm up the hip flexors, quads, and hamstrings. We highly recommend following this routine and/or any other warm-up of your choosing to get warmed up to avoid injuries during class.
3. A Zoom link that you will use to join the class. The entire class will be recorded and the recording will become available after class ends. Hence, if you are not able to make it to the live session, you can always take the class at a later time.
4. A cool-down routine video that you can follow immediately after the class ends. We highly recommend following this routine to reduce soreness and lactic acid buildup in the muscles.
Class time will not include a warm-up and cool down, but we expect that you will do these on your own before and after class. As always, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY and do only what feels right.
Q: Will I be able to access the live link after the class ends to review the material?
A: Yes! We have chosen the Zoom platform so you can review the material even after the class ends and continue to learn the choreography at your leisure!
TICKETS
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: Tickets bought for these classes are Non-Refundable unless Boston Bollywood decides to cancel the class. If a class is canceled, refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days. If a class is canceled, we cannot guarantee that there will be a makeup class for that song and/or style. We will try to give you as much advance notice as possible when a class is canceled.
Q: I bought a ticket, but never received an email confirmation. What should I do?
A: Please check your spam/promotions folder. If you can't find the confirmation email there, you may have entered an incorrect email address while purchasing the ticket. If this is the case, please purchase a separate ticket with the correct email address and send an email to [email protected] requesting a refund for your previous ticket. We will not issue refunds unless a new ticket is purchased. Eventbrite also does not refund processing fees.
Q: Is there an option available to purchase a package deal for multiple classes at the same time?
A: No, not yet. We want to be able to cancel the class if the class instructor is unable to teach the class or if there are other unforeseeable technical difficulties that may make it impossible for us to conduct the class. Making you purchase a separate ticket for each class is the only way we can provide a full refund if we cancel it. Offering a package deal makes processing refunds difficult.
Q: I AM SO EXCITED! How can I continue to help Boston Bollywood?
