Dancers who did not participate in Season 11 and wish to participate in the Season 12 show must learn the audition routine and submit a video. If you plan to submit an audition video, please follow ALL these instructions. If any of the instructions are not followed, your submission will not be accepted.
1. Dancers must shoot a video of them dancing to the whole music edit sent to them which will require them to dance the audition routine twice and back to back -- please do not send us an edited video -- we will know! You must dance the entire routine twice in one go so we can judge your energy levels. Please tape the video in a well lit area and wear something that is contrasting to your background.
2. Upload your audition video as an unlisted video to YouTube.
3. Send an email to "[email protected]" with the subject line "Boston Bollywood Season Twelve Bollywood Audition Video" OR "Boston Bollywood Season Twelve Semi-classical Audition Video" (PLEASE COPY PASTE THESE AS WE HAVE SET UP EMAIL FILTERS) and include the following in your email:

Timeline:
We look forward to your audition videos! As always, keep dancing and we hope to dance with you this Fall. We hope you have a great night!
How will I be judged in the auditions?
At auditions, we will judge dancers' ability to learn new choreography and their performance will be used to determine level placements. Level placement will be determined based on the following criteria:
* Precision (Timing, correctness of moves, crispness of lines and angles)
* Energy while maintaining correct precision
* Grace (Ability to replicate style)
Notes: For Bollywood/Contemporary auditions, dancers will be placed in one of 5 levels. Level 1 is our first intermediate level and level 5 is our most advanced level. For Semi-classical category dances, at the end of the auditions, choreographers will choose dancers for their dances in 2 groups: Group A and B. Group A will be given preference on signing up for a piece over Group B. Contemporary/Lyrical dances this season will take Bollywood/Contemporary levels.
All level placements will be final.
If you are selected as a choreographer in season twelve and you wish to participate in other dances (pieces) in season twelve, you are required to participate in Dancer Auditions.
