Judging Panel
Registration:
Boston Bollywood is accepting entries from participants. To enter the competition, participants must
* Have a Venmo account or a PayPal account.
* Register by doing the following:
a) Send a $25 registration fee. The registration fee is non-refundable. The registration fee can be sent via Venmo to @Boston-Bollywood or via PayPal to "[email protected]". Please include your full name in the description/note section of Venmo/PayPal when you transfer the fee. If you are unable to send us the registration fees using one of these methods, send an email to "[email protected]" to set up a different way to participate.
b) Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Bollywood’s Fiercest Fan 2020” and include the following information in the email: Full Name, Age, Short bio (less than 100 words), Picture (to be included in social media posts), and Venmo ID/PayPal email address.
c) Record a video of you dancing to the music edit contained in the following folder and send us the video file (not a YouTube link) by 11:59 PM @ June 7th 2020. The music edit is 3 minutes 15 second long. Please scroll down to read the rules of the competition carefully.

Entries will not be accepted without the registration fee.
Rules:
1) Participants can use any choreography for their dance as long as they have permission to use it. Participants must refrain from using more than 16 counts of choreography from the song’s original video. If we find you using choreography for which you didn't acquire permission to use in your dance, you will be banned from this and any future competition that Boston Bollywood hosts.
2) Each song in the music edit must be shot in one take. Participants may choose to do the entire choreography in one take. Participants may also choose to record different songs in different takes and stitch the video together.
3) Participants can feel free to experiment with props/costumes.
4) Participants must send the Video File of the entire choreography (not a YouTube link) to [email protected] by 11:59 PM EST on June 7th.
5) Dancers are not allowed to use any TikTok filters.
6) Participants can shoot videos with their camera phones or any other cameras. Selfie cameras will also work.
Competition:
Five finalists will be selected from the pool of participants. The finalists’ videos will be posted to our YouTube channel on June 9th @ 12 PM EST.
Prizes:
There will be two prizes awarded. The prizes will be announced on June 14th at 12 PM EST.
* The most viewed video by 11 AM EST on June 14th: $250
* The best choreography: $500
The panel of judges will judge the video on the basis of the following criteria:
* Precision
* Expressions
* Authenticity to the decade
* Complexity of choreography
